I may be crazy trading like this. What do YOU think ?

Is it better to focus on one at a time and try to make bigger profits or are you doing like me, trading 3-5 matches at the same time and going for smaller profits ? I am aware that doing like this I may miss some opportunities. I found that my first and only trading movie is about trading Tsonga- De Bakker match one month ago and same players are playing right now, 5-5 1st set....;)

Good luck and keep it green !

I would draw parallels with poker and 'multi-tabling' at this point. You seem to be a fairly established trader so may be approaching / past the point where you are limited by your bankroll but instead by what the market will accept for your chosen strategy. At this point the only way to increase turnover is to have multiple markets, although you will sacrafice some of your edge. Assuming the decrease in edge is not greater than 1/markets it is profitable to continue this way.

Even if you are limited by your bankroll you can increase turnover and 'increase stakes', spread across multiple markets, without increasing the variance which should smooth the PL results and the bank should grow quicker.

So at what point do you consider 'too many markets' or do you find that trading too many is complicated more by trading 'poorer' markets.

Thanx LewisNeill for your comment,

I found trading 4-5 tennis markets is max what I manage keep focusing on, have an eye on the scoreboard, watching live streams and at the same time following markets/odds etc....What is my problem from time to time is when Eurosport "jumping" from one match to another or from tennis to soccer/cycling/anything other than tennis. I was in big trouble causing by this during Australian Open. With no Eurosport coverage some markets may lack money and you will see very big gaps in odds, very risky trading such markets if you ask me. I know we have live streams online but I think tennis matches with ESP coverage has best liquidity. It's why I am more confident trading ATP Masters than tournaments with Eurosport coverage. With ATP Masters I know I can follow a tennis match from first game to GSM...with Esp you never know whats comming next....

Hello Rockaren:
Im a poker player , living from it since 6 years ago. As LewisNeill said there is a point in poker when you have to sacrifice certain edge in order to make more $/hour . This concept is called winrate.
1 tournament by hour playing at best 1USD/hour
10 tournanent at once playing at 60% 6USD/hour

So , dont feel bad to past some edge , its a question of profit/hour.

Good luck next traders

At indian weels I started to trade more than one market at a time. Watching 10 livescores , 2 live video was able to trade 6 markets easily. I found there are some technical situations , limitations on tv coverage as Rockaren said. I think If you feel comfortable with 2 - trade two - if with 7 trade 7. Just find your edge. Trading more markets provides also more security - imagine you have a big stake on a player who retires in second set...
