Decided to make another post before I go to enjoy my time in China starting next week .....Just want to let you know (just in case you missed it) about a new version of the greatest trading application, probably the best in the world :)

2012...!!!

No, it's not a movie title :)

It's a new year and I just to wish a Very Happy New Year to all readers and followers of my blog. Yeah, I know there is not much to follow on this blog these days. I have not been updating my blog for a long time but you should still know I am very much alive :)

When I started my blog it was about enjoying Betfair and The Toy...now I am enjoying BetdaQ. Still doing some trading on Betfair markets. Anyway, more about it in my next post which may wait until next month.
First month of this year will NOT be as usual for me. I am going to enjoy and celebrate new year one more time...wtf ? hehe....I mean I am going to China next week and stay there for a few weeks which means I will be there during chinese new year :)

I am going to miss Australian Open, really. I am happy anyway....2011 was my best trading year so I feel I deserved to have some great time without need to think about trading.

To all of you I wish very nice profits and have a great time watching/trading tennis (other sports too). Keep thinking it's NOT about money...it's about enjoying sports you love to watch LOL

The Geek made it again !

It was a total surprise when TG announced a new version of The Toy with some great improvements. It's still beta but working quite nicely for me and I really enjoy what I got. I am not a big fan of using tools like stop loss and this feature (Geek Style stop loss) may be different to what you are used to. Trailing stop loss is included :) Be very careful when using stop loss, be sure you understand how it works !

I recommend using small stakes or training mode to work out some of the new tools.

What I am using almost every day is Multibet Tool. You may ask....what is it ? My answer will be short......you have to see and try this one....:) I will make a movie when/if I have some spare time but for now please just check my images

From my screen shots you see how it looks. It allows you to place bets on one or more runners with one click. Dutching/bookmaking.....

Lay or Back the field (or any number of selections)...stop entry...drip feed...all those tools are included now !!!
If not enough you can also place your bets at a specified time :)

Do you need any more tools ? LOL
For non english speaking traders there is also Multi Language support (select language at login).

I am really happy with The Toy now. It's still a beta and some bugs may be found but The Geek is working and killing all the bugs every day.........

Version 1.2 beta 3 is the latest at the moment and it may be downloaded here......

Missing The Toy !

After moving most of manual trading to BetdaQ this summer I really missed The Toy :(

We need your TOY on BetdaQ, Mr The Geek ! :)
As already said before I have currently 2 Betfair accounts. One of them is stil very active and is used for horse racing using my trading bot. Another one is dedicated to manual trading but wasn't very active last weeks. Trading bank for this account is at this moment about £300. I am happy with my trading on BetdaQ markets so far but not very happy with trading tools available there so I decided to give Betfair & TheToy another chance this weekend LOL

To be more serious, I decided to check and compare, one more time, how markets are moving and liquidity on these markets on both exchanges. I am an In-play trader and liquidity is very important for me. I found it may be an issue (talking about BetdaQ) while there are plenty of matches played at the same time. With US Open starting in about 1 week it will be very interesting to watch BetdaQ markets. I found The Toy is just perfect tool when trading multiple tennis markets and it's just another reason I may be back to Betfair when US Open tennis is on..........

So if you want to check and compare Betfair/BetdaQ please have a look at my screenshots from Friday and Saturday nights.

Money maker in action...:)

Decided to make a blog post about my trading yesterday just because it is something to remember.

If you followed me for some time maybe you remember there is one player on the ATP I called money making machine :) Why ? Well, it's just because I am lucky to make very nice profits with this man on courts ;)
Yes, I am talking about Mikhail Youzhny. It happens I have a plan before match start at some occasions and yesterday my plan was very simple....Lay the winner of 1st set (=back loser) in match Simon-Youzhny. Mikhail did not make me disappointed LOL. Youzhny wins 1st set...ok. Time to put some money on Simon now and just wait. This time I decided to let it go, no scalping, no trading during games, just try to relax and watch the game. Simon playing OK and with 1st serve about 70% it's looking very nice for me ;) I expected better odds when putting my money on Simon after first set but maybe market was scared by head2head between these players. (7-1 to Youzhny before this match) Well, I don't care about H2H at this occasion.

I have no idea what happened to Youzhny or if it was Simon playing amazing tennis. To me it looks like something strange was going on in Youzhny's head LOL

Some stats from this match says alot, in 3rd final set Simon's 1st serve goes down from 73 (2nd set) to very low 47%. Youzhny's 1st serve 76% and still he lost 6-1 in final set !!! LOL

Look at break points won, Simon 6/6, Youzhny 3/13, it makes a difference :) It was a great trading match ....I don't like to see red numbers on my ladder and it's why I decided to hedge while Simon was still in total control in final set. It's never over before the match point is won in tennis (or with Azarenka on court there may be retirement at any time LOL) ;)
I am going to enjoy my Sunday now.

Trading on BetdaQ is more and more interesting and I truly hope some of my followers will join me and give BetdaQ another chance. It's still no serious trading on there, it's only days after Wimbledon and most of my money still invested on Betfair :)
The future will be very interesting and full of opportunities I hope so...

and here are some of his words....

So when you look at a any market, look for the opportunity, not the problem. That’s how I started over 11 years ago. Liquidity on Betdaq is bound to rise in the near future, so for me that’s an opportunity. Even if you are not a premium charge payer over on Betfair I suggest that a new opportunity has been created on Betdaq with its introduction. I suggest you gear up to take advantage of that.

I agree with what Peter says in his post.....who knows...maybe it's time to Enjoy BetdaQ trading ? :)

I already posted so many times, on my blog and different trading forums, what I really think about Betfair. The time has come to say...

IT'S NOT FAIR !!!

Transaction charges, data request charges, premium charges etc...add to this some of the issues like API not available, Betfairs website not available.

While trading I keep saying to myself and advising other traders...NO NEED TO BE GREEDY !!! Betfair seems to forget about this rule. I tried to move my trading to BetdaQ a few times but unfortunately found there was no liquidity enough to make me happy. I'm talking about tennis markets on Betdaq, not sure how it looks on horse racing markets. It's time to do something ! Betdaq, please take your chance and show you are really serious and ready for a BIG change in your business. I am sure all serious traders need some alternatives to UNFAIR Betfair.
I am happy there are some people/traders already trying to do something. Time to stop talking and let's see some action !

I am a part-timer on Betfair markets, I am really very small fish among big sharks but Betfair's arrogance and their greed makes me feel sick.
We already have free API trading software available for Betdaq. I believe the reason vendors like Bet Angel, Gruss, Binteko (DaqBot) make their applications available for free to us is they also want some more action on Betdaq markets.....

I really hope it's going to happen in a very near future.

We must stop Betfair's unfair actions NOW !!! Join the revolution now.................

SlamTracker or PointStream ?

IBM is providing Grand Slam tournaments with live scoring. I was so far very happy with IBM's SlamTracker. First day I started trading Wimbledon matches I was looking after SlamTracker but it wasn't there !!! What happened, am I blind or what's going on ? I found something called PointStream, hmmm...is it useful for me as a trader ? All I need is fast scoreboard when trading games played on courts without live coverage. Yes, PointStream is nice...showing some stats in a nice way but still I want to see all matches played at the moment. Well, the only way is web page showing all games currently in play.
Today it looks like this:

And here is my trading desktop how it used to be with old SlamTracker and trading 4 tennis games at the same time using The Toy.

It makes a BIG difference to me, really...and I found other traders also don't like new PointStream as a replacement. I send a feedback to IBM just to let them know. I am sure they don't care but anyway. If you are like me, please let them know :)

If you watch carefully you see {injured ???} Victoria Azarenka. Looks like she may be ready to play some tennis again after her last retirement a few day's ago, right ?

No trading at all for me today. I just found out there is a new beta version of Bet Angel, this time with training mode available. Looks like at the moment Gruss Betting Assistant is the only one still with no training mode included. I am not a big fan of training mode but it could be a nice and cheap way to test your Excel bot without risking your money. Hmm....I started to build and test my bot using minimum stakes and no surprise I lost money while testing. What could you expect ? LOL

Maybe Bet Angel is the way to go....:)

It's about Bethanie Mattek-Sands again. Maybe you know from my earlier posts she has been called Lady Gaga of tennis before. This time at Wimbledon she did it again !:) And as it should be her dress is designed by one of Lady Gaga's designers.

Some people may love it and some may hate it. I think it adds a little of fun into tennis.

She is definitely a very special lady.

I really wish her all the best on courts of Wimbledon next 2 weeks....:)

Me and my smartphone

There were no updates to my blog for some time now but to be honest I don't have so much to say about my trading last weeks.

I was focusing on my horse bot which is not very easy task for someone with limited knowledge about Excel, VBA, macros etc.....you know what I mean, right ? :) Anyway, I test my bot every day but still using very low stakes. Day's of testing are not over yet. There is a lot of new things for me these days. Another one is VPS. I ordered a VPS, installed Gruss & Excel and now can have my bot running every day with no need to turn my home PC on. I really like it so far, it makes it possible to setup and control my bot every morning using a smartphone. I use an Android phone with Team Viever installed. I am still not confident enough about my strategy and my bot so I really want to control what's going on through the day ;)

I decided to use my second Betfair account for automated trading. This account is for horse trading only :)

My last 7 days of automated trading looks like this....

76 markets traded....average profit £ 4.3 / race .....As you see nothing very impressive....

Maybe you ask....what about tennis trading ? :) well, I really look forward to Wimbledon starting next week. I have my daytime job to think about but there will be some day's off and lots of trading opportunities. To be honest I was getting very tired watching and trading tennis so many hours every day. Focusing on horse racing and tennis trading at the same time wasn't possible so I got some weeks free from tennis.

I hope you didn't missed "our friend" Vicky Azarenka and her retirement....I know it's getting boring posting about Azarenka and her retirements.

Remember her last match before Roland Garros ? It was retirement against Sharapova in second set. Last match now before Wimbledon and yet again another injury/retirement against Bartoli....so maybe we should put some money on Azarenka to retire in her last tournament before US Open later this year ? :)

Am I a very bad guy when talking about it this way...?

I believe most of you already know about some of the rumours about The Geek's Toy {AGT}. Last week has been full of all kinds of rumours. Don't ask me what is true, what is false...we have to wait and see when all the secrets will be revealed by The Geek.

Zvonareva winner against Lisicki

Some of the BIG guns are already out from Roland Garros but some other are doing great. Image on the left showing Sabine Lisicki (loser) after the match against Zvonareva (winner). It was one of matches where I decided to start trading with lay bet on favorite. As so many times before it was a profitable strategy.

By the way, Lisicki is a player from my older post "Jackpot time" .) Don't you agree she (Lisicki) looks like Azarenka on the image, if you know what I mean ? ;)

Another favorite lost today and I missed it :(
I am talking about Stosur - Dulko.

I had a nightmare last night and it's one of the reasons why I missed first match on Centre court today. With nightmare I mean "Windows 7 Recovery". Something strange happened to my PC and it took me some time to find what's going on. I have an antivirus software running on my PC and was amazed how could I get such sh|t into my system. I still have no idea but hopefully everything is just fine now. YOU are happy/lucky if you are using Windows system and still don't know about "Windows 7 Recovery" malware :)

I had to manually remove it from PC and if you want to know more about it I found a great site with info and instructions. Better to be prepared LOL

Such day's I hate windows and even more like my Linux PC ;) Wish there was trading software for Linux, already tried many times to setup and run The Toy on my Linux system with no luck....well, let's hope, maybe one day :)

Back to trading. I hope you doing great. Yesterday was one of those BIG green day's thanx to Maria Sharapova !!! :)

Maria lost first set to 17 year old Caroline Garcia, she was also down 4-1 in second set....After about 15-20 matched bets in 1st set I had a small profit on both players. Decided to play with my green and started laying Garcia at some very low odds and was hoping for a miracle. Said to myself...wait and see how this young girl manages to play under pressure. Maybe you already know what happened ?!

Sharapova came back from 1-4 to 6-4 !!! and 3rd set was 6-0 to Maria...LOL easy ? no, it's never easy but it's also never over before match point is won....

Azarenka is still going strong ;)

There was some of tennis matches this week where 1.01 was matched and a player lost. I am not saying you should lay every player at 1.01, it could also be a warning if you believe there is free money to be taken and keep backing low odds favorites. It's NOT the way I trade tennis...;)

As you see I decided to not post more of my screenshots showing my profits. I make this decision after some of comments I received.

Azarenka, the story continues...

If you are one of followers you should remember some of my posts about Victoria Azarenka. To refresh your memory you could read posts tagged "Azarenka" {find it under labels and click Azarenka}.

Image on the left is from US Open 2010. I feel sorry for this still young tennis player. How amazing it is...she retires with a shoulder injury 2011-04-20, is back to play BOTH singles and doubles 10 days later in Madrid. She won doubles final in Madrid and lost singles final to Kvitova. Before tournament in Madrid I said:

I am looking forward to see how she will be doing and waiting for any signs of next retirement, would you bet there will be retirement before Roland Garros ?

If Betfair had market open for this kind of bets I would be a winner today.
I am NOT happy she retired today but as you see I am NOT very surprised either...Sad story indeed.

Bethanie Mattek-Sands

Woman on the right side is called Lady Gaga of women's tennis by some people. Whether it's right or not I don't care but she is definitely very special ;)

Bethanie Mattek-Sands was a great shot for us if you layed Pennettta (1.66) from the start. In my previous post I was looking forward to watch & trade Petkovic-Kirilenko and Mattek-Pennetta. Bethanie did a great job for me taking first set and finally win match in 3rd set, exactly as needed on my side.

The second one, Petkovic (1.45) was another lay from the start. This time Petkovic was broken early and Kirilenko had a great chance to win first set. Unfortunately Petkovic was back to 5-5 and won 7-5. Anyway with 7 breaks of serve during 1st set we had plenty of trading opportunities. A very nice profit on both matches but could be huge green for me if only Kirilenko could control her nerves and win first set. Maybe better luck next time ;)

What about today's trading ? I still not decided what to follow. I like Starace-Troicki and again, Bethanie against Gajdosova (Groth). In both games there is no clear favorite, odds about 2.00 ...With a few breaks of serve we should be in profit, the problem is what to do from start...LOL
Mattek is an extremely offensive player and I may back her from the start. A god idea is wait and see who is going to start serving in both matches.

Ohhh, what a shame !
They decided to change courts and now is Wickmayer-Ivanovic on the center court, Bethanie-Gajdosova on court 1 :(

Here comes an update...

Mattek-Sands has lost her match, 2-6, 4-6 and I was completely wrong about this one.

A very good advice from me is: never follow my advices LOL

I must admit it was my lucky day, I lost backing Bethanie from the start but just before start of this match I found there was a change of courts which means NO LIVE stream from this match so I put only small stake just for fun....another advice here..

Never place any bets just for fun !!! ;)

What happened in this match ? How could I be so wrong ? I have no idea, maybe she was out of gasoline already after playing very late 3 sets match against Pennetta yesterday ? She only won 4 points when Gajdosova serving in first set !! Amazing, and I don't know if it was Jarmila playing very good or our Lady Gaga not in the best form....

No big damage done here on my side...look here, I am watching on my red and hoping for a miracle LOL

The week of retirements...;)

This will be a very short post from me as I really don't have much time at the moment. I am happy I decided to work on my bot last few days.

Tennis is at the moment a very BIG joke with players retiring from matches one after another. After 3 hours of tennis today we have already seen 3 retirements. Players are also doing their best to complete first set, nice...

I am only using small stakes these days, with Roland Garros coming very soon we must be very careful. The biggest joke was Petrova against Ivanovic last night. Very early in the match it was obvious Nadia is NOT doing her best, not trying, not interested at all. The audience started to show what they think about her performance after 6-0 in first set. 2nd set started as first and at 3-0 to Ivanovic, Petrova start talking to a trainer, I think injury time-out is coming. I was surprised she decided to retire without taking an injury time-out ! Very strange, very short conversation and Nadia decided not to do her job anymore ;)

Update:

I see Nadia Petrova and Rodionova are playing doubles at the moment ...LOL

Maybe some of you start thinking I am too suspicious, well...maybe I am but I am a tennis trader so many years and I know what I am talking about....Azarenka retired due to a shoulder injury 20th April and was back playing both singles and doubles 10 days later. She also WON doubles final and played singles final {lost to Kvitova} !

Yeah, doctors actually can do some miracles...Below are games still to be played today. Petkovic against Kirilenko is one I look forward, another one is Mattek-Sands against Pennetta. Anything can happen in those games. Petkovic was VERY poor last time she played, it was awful tennis with big number of unforced errors from Petkovic.

BFexplorer Customer Service...Part 3...;)

Story continues as finally Stefan Belopotocan decided to put an article and link to my blog on his web site. Well done !

It was quite funny when I said he could find my link on chrtba.cz and his answer was he had not much time to browse other sites ;) Later admin of chrtba said he {Stefan Belopotocan} was there almost every day.
Stefan B may be a very good coder and doing great job developing his software. My posts are NOT about software, I am only posting about customer service, about a man called Stefan Belopotocan. There may be other people involved in Bfexplorer customer service. I have nothing against any other people working with Bfexplorer ! Anyway, from what he is doing it looks to me as it's one man show .

I afraid some of you don't have a clue what's going on ;) Here is a short summary what happened so far:

Look at text marked with red color...I already used 5 days trial some time ago but this time it's about pre-release version. Ok, I thought, ok..let's try. I click download link, install software, trying to log in...what ??? Software says trial is over. The only option is to SUBSCRIBE. I can NOT log in to test his PRE-RELEASE version as he asked me to do in his email. Ok, no problem. So I send an email to Stefan asking for a new 5 days trial, is it possible ? No, it wasn't says Stefan.

I did not notice anything from you on bfexplorer forum, so why should I give you more trial?

Keep in mind we are talking about a version for PRE-RELEASE TESTING. I was involved in beta programs many times, from very small developers to giants as MS or Adobe but never met such arrogant human as Stefan Belopotocan.
And now please have a look at this image. Day after I posted on my blog about Bfexplorer customer service Stefan start spamming users on his mail list...

I receive emails asking for extended trial period and because my time is limited I am not able to support all users asking for extended trial, replying on their questions to explain how to use bfexplorer with their betting or trading strategies, explaining bfexplorer features and so on. Therefore I gave extended trail for some users and not to others. Here there are two examples when I refused extended trail.

Those 2 examples are my blog and another user trying to make a deal with Belopotocan {more about it later}

How does it look now ? I have no words. This guy must have some issues or he has no control at all what he is doing ??!!!

Look here what he says:

Bfexplorer PRO 2 is pre-release version and I published it for public allowing more betfair users test this new version for bfexplorer and get some feedback from them.

And now:

If your trial expired you can ask for additional days, but it is required to post some feedback on bfexplorer forum.

Give him some feedback and he let you trial his software.....feedback about what, feedback before you even had a chance to test ?!! If you need feedback from me I tell you it's great weather here in Sweden at the moment !

Thought he needs feedback about his latest pre-release version but he must be talking about something very different LOL

If you want to have a new trial just answer to his email as on image above but I recommend you still remember what he said...

STOP spamming users on your mail list and I promise number of emails in your mailbox should decrease. Or stop complaining !

On the first day he told me he receives so many emails like my, requesting free trials etc...and he send me emails from another user..it was same user he is referencing to in his article...I was shocked. Why would he unnecessarily share personal correspondence ?

I had NOTHING to do with the other user and I don't want to read other peoples private mail !!!

It's what I mean, would you really like to do business with this man ?! Try to make a deal and if there will be no deal he is going to share details with us ? ;)

End of conversation here...maybe I am too stupid, maybe I should NOT expect any more trials ?
Anyway, it was NEVER a problem with people at WellDoneSoft (authors of MarketFeeder Pro). I asked for a new trial and I got it when I wanted to test latest version of their software. Very friendly and service minded people there, WellDoneSoft....

As I never subscribed to Bfexplorer and never used their software for trading I find it hard to contribute and give "something" to their community.

To be honest I don't care about trial, there would be no issues at all if he only could respond in a friendly way. What I hate is ignorance and no respect. I am used that people in this part of Europe {Sweden} running their own business are more friendly...but who knows where Stefan lives ? It's for sure another part of this crazy world and now I know what to expect from him. I have to add I have some great friends coming from Slovakia, so it's not a problem, it must be something special about this guy named Stefan Belo or...hmm..should I maybe say Belopotocan ?

I believe I expected too much from those people, it's one more reason to stay with The Geek's Toy and Gruss Betting Assistant, their service is GREAT !!!

This post is just to let you know what to expect from Bfexplorer customer and potential customers service ;)

Sorry but I could not stay away and let it be ;) It's about Azarenka's come back in Madrid. More background info a few posts below (Injured one more time).

It looks now as Victoria is ready to play some tough matches again a few days after her retirement last time. She is currently favorite @1.15 against Vera Dushevina, so this time "insiders" are not scared by low price or any signs of an injury LOL

What makes me even more laughing is the fact she decided to play doubles. Not bad for a player injured a few days ago. Did you had a look at her list of retirements/injuries ? I am impressed by her ability to recover from injuries in almost no time....and decision to play doubles despite problems with her body...

I am looking forward to see how she will be doing and waiting for any signs of next retirement, would you bet there will be retirement before Roland Garros ? :)

Azarenka

This time no more green screens from me. This post will be about something different.

Victoria Azarenka just retired from match against Julia Goerges. Azarenka won first set 6-4, Goerges was broken when serving at 1-1 and Azarenka got 4-1 and 5-2 lead.

Before start of this match I was shocked when I saw Azarenka's odds going from 1.3 to 1.8. Something was wrong, I thought. Checked one more time if match already started but NO ! BIG money on Azarenka to lose this match, who are those people ? Well, no live stream available, watching scoreboard and Azarenka cruising. There was a short break, maybe injury time-out. I have no idea, don't care. The problem is money placed on Azarenka to lose before match started !

Would you bet on Azarenka to finish first set and retire ? I did it, unfortunately only small stake.

The Day After...

Took me long time to think about what happened yesterday. To be honest I was afraid of myself. I decided to NOT raise my stakes, cashed in part of last days profits and just try to forget about my luck yesterday ;)

I need to clear my mindset. In the past I let my emotions take over which made me use too big stakes and overconfidence was my problem. So this time I must stay calm and do what I did last days/weeks/months.

I hope it will be an easy day without too many emotions. Started my day trading Zvonareva-Pavlyuchenkova and believe I will let it be as on my screenshot. It's just an OK green...players are now going to play 3rd set after Pavlyuchenkova had an injury time-out during second set.

Wow...!!! What a day it was so far. This time I really need more than a cup of coffee LOL

From images below you see what I mean. It's without any doubts my best ever result for a single day. First huge profit from Lisicki-Cibulkova and now Petkorazzi makes my day even more enjoyable. I am not the great one, I never said and never will. It was just my lucky day when laying low odds payed. I did it many times, nothing different today. Maybe the difference was I was calm enough to wait longer than before while watching my green growing :)

Petkovic was 1.13 before the match and she lost first set. There will be no more trading for me today. Davydenko still playing against Dolgopolov in Barcelona. Jankovic still to come against a player I never seen before, Beatriz Garcia Vidagany. I need a break and be ready for tomorrow...

Rezai match was a great trading opportunity too. I was going for another HUGE win but wasn't confident enough to let it run and hedged for +£400 profit...

It's only Tuesday but I believe the girl on the left will be player of this week for me. Cibulkova lost first set, Lisicki was serving to win a match, 9 breaks of serve so far, injury time-out for Cibulkova, well, what more to say ?

This match has everything needed to make a very nice profit. Players are now playing tiebreak in second set but I will not touch this market anymore..Time to have a break now or maybe try my luck trading horses ;)

I had a great start yesterday and I was lucky trading both horses and tennis markets through the day. When I look back some years ago clay season was a nightmare for me. Last year and this year is just fantastic so far.

Days like today are very busy so no enough time for blogging.

We have live streams from all 3 tournaments today !!! A true paradise for tennis lovers, let's hope we can make some money while watching tennis ;)

As I am writing this post I see something very strange on the Barcelona scoreboard. Starace just won first set against Gimeno-Traver but his (Starace) price is now up to 7-8...retirement comming I guess :) I backed Potito but am now RED on Starace trying to recover and save some money...small green on Gimeno-Traver atm....have no idea whats going on there LOL

Albert Ramos

My first tennis market this week, have been away and no trading tennis markets last weekend at all...only a few late evening horse races Friday to Sunday...

So let's look at my screenshot. This match has everything you need to make money. First round, 2 players from Spain, 33 year old Ramirez Hidalgo and 23 years old Albert Ramos...

How I did it ? To be honest I started watching scoreboard after first set finished. I missed start of this match, no live stream available here. Ramirez takes first set 6-4 and got 4-1 lead in second set, after Ramos was broken twice but when I saw Ramirez serving at 4-1 and 0-15, 0-30, 0-40...hmm I thought it's getting VERY interesting, odds are still looking nice and I started trading. After that players hold their service games 3 times and we have Ramirez serving at 5-4 to win match. Another lay of Ramirez-Hidalgo and guess what ?! He was broken again LOL I believe, my intuition says this match is to be decided in third set and both players should be happy ;) Anyway, my green is looking nice so I am out and taking a cup of coffee :)

It's a good start for this new week, as always some luck involved but believe me this kind of trading, laying at low price gives nice profits without using big liability.

Wow...what a match it was.

I traded on Robredo's ladder and had a liability about £400, red on Troicki. First set to Robredo, 6-3 and he is playing OK, serving at 1-2 and 30-30 second set, Tommy to 40-30 when he suddenly asked for a trainer....BIG panic on match odds market ! what to do now ?! I wait for a few minutes, injury time out for Robredo and I start placing my money on Troicki. Now I am RED on Robredo...but want to get some green on Troicki. After injury time-out Tommy lost next point and I placed more on Troicki. My final position on this market you see on the image. Easy money ? Well...I was really lucky this time. It shows you how important it is to WATCH players LIVE and NOT to keep liability on any player, even when it looks like it's over. You never know when an injury comes....

Should stay away from Wincanton !!!

Trading Wincanton today(Sunday) was a nightmare for me. I really should stay away from this track ;) You can see what I mean when you check my PnL image. Still managed to get profit overall but such losses are not easy to forget.

Sunday means tennis finals and I traded all of them. As I said in my previous post about Kei Nishikori. Starting price 1.35 wasn't great value. Too bad, I placed my bets at wrong time and on wrong player. Struggling through the match I could finally make a profit. It makes me feel good when after a few wrong decisions I managed to recover and turn my red into green ;)

Kei Nishikori

I have been very busy last few days doing my full time job, trading, learning, testing and enjoying my new toy. What do I mean with new toy ? No, it's not a new version of The Geek's trading software ! It is my new smartphone which I am going to use for trading. What I am trying to do is remote control of my home PC. PC will be running a bot for placing bets on horse markets when I'm away from home. I will use my phone to setup my bot and control what's going on through the day. So far I did only some tests but it looks promising.

What about trading this week ? All I could say is: fantastic ! Tennis still very high strike rate. In fact, I started to use an Excel spreadsheet to keep all my records and it shows my SR for tennis markets is at the moment 93%. I have to be happy with it.....what is not very good is my average loss compared to average profit on markets. It's something I have to work on.....

I made nice profit trading Nishikori(on the image)-Cuevas yesterday. As you can see on my image I used some of my green and placed a bet on Cuevas during the 2nd set. In fact Pablo Cuevas had a very good chance and got 2 break points when Nishikori was serving at 6-5 to win a match. Unfortunately Nishikori saved BP's and won match 6-3, 7-5....

Now it's time to play final against Ryan Sweeting. Japanese player is a favorite to win this match and I believe he will do but odds at 1.35 are not a great value for me at the moment...I will wait and see what happens from the start....Nishikori played amazing this week, Sweeting on the other side is NOT one of my favorite players...he was involved in some "strange" games with strange results in the past...Last night he won against Karlovic but to be honest Karlo was very poor or maybe had some issues after playing for more than 3 hours against Isner the day before.

If you want to start trading tennis it's right time to start now....Monte-Carlo ATP Masters started today with almost all the best players...Djokovic and Soderling are missing. Live coverage for this tournament is as always very good ..........

Sweating and swearing...

Gimeno Traver

The man on the left made me sweat and swear loudly yesterday. He wasn't alone, the other one was Hanescu. I am talking about 1st round match in Casablanca. My money was on wrong player from the start. I thought it was great value backing Hanescu at 1.8. It wasn't !!! Players made this match look like a classic WTA game. Look at stats below. Gimeno-Traver still to win a match this year. Hanescu defeated Gimeno February 15th this year (6-3, 7-6). Yesterday was a nightmare for me. Hanescu lost first set, I am big red. Second set Hanescu is still very poor. I tried to decrease my red, had no idea what to do. Almost going for level red, gambling, testing my luck etc. Intuition says this match can NOT end in 2 sets. There MUST be a third set, are they playing for real or not, if you know what I mean ;) What makes me feel strange is when a favorite looks not interested to win a game ! When a player is not showing any feelings on court while he is making unforced errors like a child on court. Both players ranked about 60 on ATP list. I made a decision to wait for a final 3rd set and just hoping Hanescu takes 2nd set.

Guess what ! I was right ! Happy after Hanescu finally wins second set 6-4. Now trying to hedge for level green on both. Odds jumping like crazy, had to move up my hedging bet a few times. Finally it was done at the start of 3rd set. My total number of matched bets on this market was 32. Now I do NOT want to place any more bets on this crazy match. Maybe 10 mins later we got 4-0 to Hanescu in final set ! 4-0 !!! BIG money matched at 1.01, what happens now ?! From 4-0 to 4-4 LOL What a game it was, money making machine was running but NOT for me. I had bad feelings, odds from 1.01 to +2.0 in no time !

It ended with a profit for me but it could be BIG red. Maybe it was my lucky day or maybe my intuition is not so bad. Anyway, it was more gambling than trading....

Have a look at Gimeno-Traver's stats this year.

This man is traveling around the world just to lose first match and moving on to next tournament. I wonder if he is flying at the moment in economy or business class. I think he "deserved" to fly business LOL

The Toy has landed !

After I threw The Toy far away (see my previous post) I got it back just in time to start trading Nadal-Berdych last night. Toy has landed NOT so far away from me, LOL

I was bored while waiting for Nadal match to start and inspired by a new month (April !) when writing previous post. And if you still not sure I confirm it was an April fools' joke about my last trade on Betfair. I was happy after Maria Sharapovas match yesterday. Not that she is one of my favorite players but I am always glad to see great players comming back. Playing final in Miami is a very good result already and against Azarenka she has a chance to win. Sharapova have an injury but who knows how serious it really is ? She said:

"It hurt when I did it. I iced it a lot & did an ice bath & got it taped. Yeah, I think I'll be okay. I'm tough."

It's something to have in mind while trading the final but it will be tomorrow. Today we have mens semifinals to think about.

Trading Nadal-Berdych last night was a very interesting experience. Berdych was broken in his first service game, very easy from 3-0 to 6-2 in first set for Rafa. Second set and a very different story ! Berdych holds his serve (1-0) but this time Nadal broken in his first service game. I decided to lay Nadal and just hoping Berdych will hold his serve. He did it and I was going to hedge at 3-0 in second set. Nadal called for a trainer and talking about some issues, hmmm...so what to do now ? I see my green on Berdych growing nicely but I had another Nadal match in mind when he lost second set 6-0 (!!!) to Lukas Lacko just to win 6-3 in final third set. This time I decided not to be greedy and placed my hedge bet before the second set was over. In my age I must take care of my heart and Berdych is one of those players you could expect anything on court, matched at 1.01 against Ramirez-Hidalgo just to lose second set ;)
Final set started with Nadal serving and...0-40 (!) but who is number ONE ? ;) Rafa won 5 points in a row and 1-0 on the scoreboard. I tried to make a few ticks profit in 3rd set but gave up at 2-2, it was great match with 2 players in form. I enjoyed it alot...Nadal won at the end 6-3

Next one was Azarenka-Zvonareva. I decided to lay server before the match started. It was Vera to start serving and she was broken immediately :) Hedge and wait now...Azarenka to serve...at 30-0 another smaller lay of Vera, Vicky holds ! Another break when Zvonareva serving and this time I call it over for me, final hedge and stop of trading for the day/night.

Not a very spectacular profits but I am happy and keep saying any green is good ;)

Horse racing is another story. I had some very good days and some bad days trading horses. A new flat season and yesterday I played with minimum stakes £2 trying my Excel/Gruss combo. I am still not mastering automated betting, still too much to learn. maybe it's not for me. But I like to learn some new stuff and new strategies so i am going to give it a try. I only hope the horses do not eat up my tennis profits LOL

The fun is over after my last trade. Tried a very new strategy on one of tennis markets and image on the left shows you what happened.....

A very BIG red...so BIG it fills my 24" screen. What is even worse, I blow my Betfair bank with one trade. Sharapova did it to me ! Maria it's your fault !

How could it happen ? I have no idea, I did NOTHING wrong, Petkovic won first set 6-3 but in 2nd and 3rd set it was one way traffic, Sharapova won 6-0 6-2 ....

It made me throw my TOY far away from me, RIP....

Yes, Petra was nice to me this night ;) I guess you know what I am talking about. In my previous post I expected nice ups and downs in match Pavlyuchenkova-Kvitova. No one should be disappointed now after second set just finished. Pavlyuchenkova was serving to win a match at 5-4 and 6-5 but failed and Kvitova won second set tiebreak.
1.01 not matched in this match yet but I am happy anyway. Nice looking hedge and no need to be involved in this match in the final set.

Still to come is Azarenka-Cibulkova but it will be late night and I should get some sleep now.

Yesterday I said Lopez at 1.84 was looking nice. It was indeed as Chela was broken in the very first game of the match. Final result, Lopez won 7-6, 3-6, 6-4. Another one I was talking about, Stosur-Safarova was a one way traffic in first set 6-0, 7-6. As you see on the image, big amount of money matched at 1.01 before Safarova started to play tennis ;) Or maybe it was Stosur making errors the same way she did last time I saw her against Safina. I have no idea what was going on. With no live pics you can only guess...

Later last night I saw Safarova's boyfriend against Ramirez-Hidalgo. Berdych big favorite at 1.07 before the start. First set 6-1 to Berdych, very easy, 1.01 matched BUT it's almost never so easy in tennis LOL So now Berdych losing second set tiebreak and we have 3rd set...What now ? WTA on Eurosport will be Clijsters-Martinez Sanchez I believe. I am not a big fan of backing Clijsters at low odds these days. Kim said she is still not fully recovered from a shoulder injury. Clijsters retired against Bartoli in second set at Indian Wells. Other WTA matches should give us some nice ups and downs. (Azarenka-Cibulkova and Pavlyuchenkova-Kvitova)

Anyway, I am back to make a post. It will be for new users of A Geek's Toy or any other traders interested in how The Toy looks like 'inside' and how to use it. Some users still asking me about Toy so I hope my post here gives you some basic info about this great and FREE trading software. As I said many times before, let me use for free any other trading applications (Bet Angel, Bfexplorer, Evolution, FairBot etc...) and my choice will still be Geek's Toy. So, how about my trading ? Well, this week was very quiet and not much of trading for me. After Cheltenham I didn't trade horses at all. Maybe will do it today but not sure as I believe there will be tennis live on TV (!!!) today and if I have to make a choice I am going to trade tennis, for sure ;)

I traded a few tennis markets yesterday and the one I still have in my head is Azarenka-Hradecka. I made an OK profit but after one nights sleep I don't feel happy with my trade. I know I should stop thinking about it but I can NOT ! Why ? why ? Is it a sign of me getting too greedy ? I mean, Azarenka was traded below 1.10 in second set, I was green on both players and waiting for GSM. Azarenka was broken when serving at 3-3 and 30-0 in second set. Hradecka won 2nd set 6-4 and Azarenkas price about 1.8 - 2.0 What to do now ? With no live stream available I did NOTHING. We still have to remember Azarenkas retirements, last one was in her match against Wozniacki last week. With Azarenkas price so high I believe market is scared, is there an injury time-out or not ? So from now I only look at scoreboard during final 3rd set....1-0 Azarenka...2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0, 6-0 GSM....No retirement but 6-0 to Azarenka LOL What a match.....another classic WTA game.

I don't have any 'picks' yet, I am going to trade what i see. Lopez 1.84 against Chela looks interesting but I afraid no live stream as they will play on court 3. I like Stosur - Safarova, Head2Head is 3-0 Safarova so why not try to lay Sam at low odds if possible ?

I have already traded 3 tennis matches today. Soderling defeated by Kohlschreiber, 7-6, 6-4. A Radwanska winner against Kirilenko and Robredo winner against Donald Young. At the moment 3 matches InPlay and you can see my trading desktop on image below. I am happy with my green numbers so I am going to have a coffee break (no alcohol while trading ! LOL) and just enjoy watching tennis. Sharapova is on Eurosport and Del Potro match on Sky.

Still some very interesting matches to come later tonight, Simon-Karlovic, Devvarman-Malisse, Verdasco-Querrey and Stosur-Safina.

Betfair, are we Ok now ?

Before I started trading yesterday I asked myself a question, how many times will Betfair API and servers go down. There was no answer to that question, of course. I could only place my bets and hope I will be OK :) Another option was, STAY AWAY from Betfair. I couldn't just sit at home, watch some great tennis and stay away from markets, so I started trading using smaller stakes and going for hedge as soon there was a profit to take. Lucky enough, I had no problems with placing bets at all, Betfair was stable and response times were Ok on my side too.

My biggest profit came from a very young tennis player, Ryan Harrison after he defeated Garcia Lopez. Another one I really enjoyed was, Fish-Raonic. Milos Raonic is now one of my favorite tennis players after Australian Open. He defeated Mardy Fish in 2 sets and I was very confident when trading this match from the start. Milos asked for a trainer during this match and there was an injury time out, so it could be something to have in mind before his next match. By the way, Raonic will meet Ryan Harrison in next round. :) You can see all tennis markets I traded yesterday on screenshot below.

Some very interesting matches tonight. Still only 2 WTA games with live coverage on Eurosport, what a difference to ATP :( Would be alot better with Eurosport not involved at all in tennis I believe. Anyway, later today we can watch:
Wozniacki - Martinez Sanchez and Rezai - Sharapova, the second one looks more interesting if you ask me. Have not seen Rezai playing for a long time so not sure what to expect from her, anyway there should be some breaks of serve and nice swings in this match, let's hope.

What more to say ? Betfair testing/upgrading or maybe just don't want to take any risks before Cheltenham and they decided to keep servers down until it's time for horse racing next week ....? What is your guess ? Or maybe other ideas what's going on ?

Barbora Zahlavova Strycova

Don't ask me how I did it ;) Started trading this match just after Kvitova was broken in 3rd set. What happened after that is just same strategy I used yesterday trading Ula Radwanska-Jovanovski. Just going against(?) market. I mean laying server at low odds and I was rewarded again. I can not remember I made profit like this trading about 15-20 mins. Another classic WTA match between players struggling when serving LOL

Odds moving like crazy, BIG up&downs, you gotta love it....I guess Barbora will be player of the week for me. Just can not imagine I will make result like this tomorrow or on Sunday with so limited trading opportunities this weekend. I must admit I was very lucky trading and using this strategy but as I said before, you don't really have to take big risks when laying at low odds. You just have to pick 'right' match and enjoy the ride.

Have a look at stats for this match. 29 played games and 15 breaks of serve...nice :)

Ohh, I have to stop talking to myself and just go to bed now. Must be up early tomorrow so no more trading, no more blogging, all I need right now is get some sleep ;)

Urszula Radwanska

If you had a chance to read my previous post and traded Urszula Radwanska - Bojana Jovanovski you could not be disappointed, right ? :) What a match it was ! Exactly as I expected with one difference, this time Radwanska lost first set but was the winner of tiebreak in 3rd set. Radwanska was serving to win a match at 5-4 and had 40-0 but Bojana was back in the match. She was broken again when serving at 5-5, Radwanska serving to win match again and broken back one more time LOL....

Watching an empty ladder at some points in the game made me scared and frustrated, really. Have a look at screenshot of Jovanovski's ladder taken in 2nd set.....Where is the money ? I have a feeling something strange happened to tennis markets, there are some traders playing with their tools. Looks like they just discovered how 'Fill Or Kill' tool works ? :)

Courtsiders are cleaning those markets which is now even more obvious when live stream is not available. That makes me feel great when making profits like today. Almost 3 hours watching scoreboard and trading this match. This time I did it during final third set...and could not resist place some of my green during final tiebreak ! I never do it...and maybe it was last time I did it LOL

Yesterday was a great result trading Ondraskova but today was even better ! I couldn't expect such result...I guess there will be no more trading for me today as I have to get some sleep and be ready to do my daily duties tomorrow ;)

Classic WTA match it was and once again it shows how dangerous it is backing low odds favorite, even when they are serving to win a match :)

Horses and tennis players....

It's all I could say about Wednesday and probably today...I am trading horses and tennis only these days. No soccer, no dogs...Trying to find some working strategies for trading horses. Looking at my P&L feels ok but I still don't feel very confident while trading horses. I really don't know how to say what I mean....I guess my knowledge about horses and racing is too limited and I will never have same feeling for a horse as I have for a tennis player.
In tennis I can pick a winner but I NEVER could pick a winner looking at todays card for horse racing...LOL

ohh, anyway, On the left you see todays tennis coupon with all games available. What is very strange is that Urszula Radwanska will play Bojana Jovanovski again !!! They already played 2 times last 2 weeks. Jovanovski leads H2H 2-0 but both matches decided in 3rd set...Jovanovski won 3rd set tiebreak 11-9 in their first meeting two weeks ago...so it could not be much closer ;) Second meeting Radwanska won 1st set 6-1 and had a BIG lead in 2nd set just to lose it 7-5 and 6-4 in 3rd set, another close match. In other words I have a strong feeling it could be another roller coaster match......

Some serious tennis trading I said in my previous post, but tbh serious trading will start when we got live pictures from Indian Wells courts. I will have to work this weekend which means my trading will be limited to some of early games...there will be no night trading sessions for me this weekend...too bad ! :(

At last...I know there are some "very successful" tennis traders making +£1000/game and offering their services, it could be e-books, subscriptions, Skype sessions etc.....I never recommended anything like this, I would say stay away from this, just ask yourself a question.....would you waste your time on such crap when you every day make such profits ? £500-£1500 / tennis match ?

I recommend, start watching live tennis, watch market moving, start to learn about some players, look at stats, be careful backing low odds favs. There are great forums and traders ready to give you some free advices so you really don't have to give your money away to those "successful traders".

I hope you know what I am trying to say ;)

I forgot to tell you about 2 other tennis matches last night where I had a very nice looking level green....unfortunately both ended with retirement before the 1st set was completed so all bets voided there.
It was:
Errani-Arn, Arn retired in 1st set tiebreak,
Mirza-Oprandi, Oprandi retired at 2-1 to Mirza....too bad and it's always a big danger when trading tennis. First day, first round and already 2 retirements ...

I must say I really like this time of the year from a tennis traders point of view. It's time for some big tennis events, like Indian Wells this week ( ATP & WTA), Miami right after Indian Wells, ATP Masters in Monte-Carlo and Barcelona on clay in April....
Anyway, I am very disappointed with lack of live streams from Indian Wells these days. I believe there will be no live pics until Friday, too bad... I mean, we could watch first rounds from Dubai, Doha etc.....so why not from such a BIG event as Indian Wells ?

I said many times I almost always trade watching live pics and am very careful when trading with only scoreboard to my help....So what to do now ? LOL

I could not resist when I found some great opportunities and was very lucky....it was really great start today for me. I could not believe market made Lauren Davis (17 year old wild card player) slight favorite against Ondraskova today. I was rewarded after only a few games.....I believe it is my best result ever made without live pictures....so guess if I am happy ;)
Something to keep in mind is liquidity....it could be an issue when trading games like this one, you should be very careful if using big stakes.

Still lot of tennis markets in play this evening/night...why not have a look and start making money ? Or why not just watch markets moving while watching scoreboard ? It's a great lesson if you want to start trading tennis.

The man on the left, Mikhail Youzhny has been like a money making machine for me this week if you know what I mean. ;) Today was another day with some fantastic trading opportunities. You should check scoring history to completely understand what I am talking about. 3 days in a row he played 3 set matches and today was the one when he lost first set 6-2, won second set 6-1, was serving to win a match at 5-4 to lose it 7-5 in 3rd set...just perfect if you not backing a player at low odds LOL

I forgot to say he played Marin Cilic today...:)

Definitely a man to watch if you like to trade tennis.....;)

After a great week on Betfair markets and trading almost full time last 2 weeks I am back to my daily job this week. Anyway, I try to do some trading every evening/night. Just found that today we got a live coverage from Memphis so at the moment I am watching Querrey-Dabul but it looks like it's over. Querrey leads 6-3, 3-1. Dabul still with no chance to break Querrey's serve. I hope there will be live coverage from Stepanek-Raonic. I really look forward to see more of Milos Raonic. This guy defeated Fernando Verdasco 2 times in last 3 days ;) Now it's time for Stepanek and I feel Milos has a great chance to win.

Uppsss....I see Dabul is back in his match. Querrey broken and we have 3-3 in second set...as many times said, expect unexpected :)

Regarding my post from yesterday about Wickmayer-Kvitova live on ESP. I hope some of you guys were watching and trading this match as it was very "trader friendly" game ;)

Anyway, my best result yesterday was Kanepi-Cibulkova. I was just lucky from the start and made some good decisions during the match. Second best was Clijsters-Dokic. Kim started making plenty of errors almost like against Barrois in previous round. This time Clijster managed to win first set 6-3 and 2nd set was only one player on the court ;) 6-0 to Kim.

I was up and traded also 5 of late night games. Monfils won his match against Smyczek but has pulled out of tournament with a wrist injury. I looked forward to see Del Potro playing against Hewitt and I must admit I backed Juan Del P with 15% of my Betfair bank. I wasn't disappointed at all. I will show you a screen shot from this match as it's very rarely you see such one-way traffic without up and downs ;)

As I am writing this post on the court in Pattaya, Zvonareva is playing against Hantuchova. Vera has already saved 2 matchpoints....Will see if this match is over before I click "Publish Post" button....:)
Vera lost first set tie break, after she was serving to win set at 5-4. I was already green on both players before tie break and found odds on Zvonareva way too low. I mean, 1.25-1.30 against a player like Hantuchova ? No way ! So I decided to play with my green and put some of that on Daniela. Head-2-Head is 4-1 to Zvonareva I believe, but last time they played in USA, Daniela won, 7-6, 0-6, 7-6....it's why I found those odds too low. Daniela won tiebreak 7-3 and is now in second set serving to win match at 5-4.. Let's see....40-40, wait !

Just found official scoreboard is showing 5-5 already LOL what a joke it is.....heheheh...still deuce...scoreboard back to 5-4, Bp, 40-40, A-40, after some very strange calls from umpire Vera doesn't want to play anymore LOL. Now we have WTA supervisor on court talking to umpire and Zvonareva. I have no idea what the right score is now in 2nd set ;)....ok, it was match point, taken, GSM. final result 7-6, 6-4. Nice win...

What is next ? I guess we are now waiting for Kvitova-Mattek Sands. It will be very tough one I think.

What a fantastic start today.

Vera Zvonareva against Shuai Peng in Pattaya. After a few hours of sleep I woke up and started trading 2nd set, no stream, no live pics, only scoreboard to watch. From my screenshots you can see final result, scoring history and graph for this match. It's all about finding a good value and at some occasions I thought odds were crazy. I mean, some punters must be very desperate otherwise I could not explain such crazy odds movements.

Without taking too big risks I could make a decent profit watching only scoreboard on my screen.

Ok, now it's time for Wickmayer-Kvitova live on ESP, can we expect some of breaks of serve ? ;) I believe so, I hope so...

All my In-play markets has been suspended due to some problems on Betfairs side. It reminds me of last year, same API issues. I guess Betfair are "upgrading" their servers before Cheltenham...LOL

It's going to be another busy day if you are as me and trading both tennis and horses. I decided to NOT place any bets/trades for fun like I did yesterday on greyhounds markets and lost parts of my profit made from tennis and horse racing.

From traders point of view I like Tsonga-Llodra, Cilic-Melzer, Murray-Baghdatis etc...and don't forget WTA, matches from Paris with live coverage on Eurosport and Eurosport 2...Oudin-Cibulkova should be perfect as trading object !

I am not going to post my P&L daily. I did it after my £300 loss on horses just to let you know about my mistakes and lack of discipline, like yesterday when placing some kind of "fun bets"

Yes, I did it ! I decided to give my horse trading another chance today and it was a very lucky day. I am really happy with my result but I am aware I can not expect such results every day. With no mistakes it can be done and what a difference from yesterday when I lost more than £300....

From my P&L screenshots you can see my loss on greyhounds today. I can not believe it...Having decent profit from tennis and horses I decided to have some fun and started trading dogs while watching races live on Sky Sport. It wasn't very lucky move and ended with £236 loss on dogs.....lack of discipline ? stupidity ? yeah, something like this for sure :(

But hey.....I feel great and happy anyway....just have to work harder on my discipline.

Tennis trading is still going strong this year. Traded 15 tennis markets with 100% strike rate, it's not bad ;) My best result was Mattek-Sands against Suarez Navarro. My screenshot from this match taken just after first set was finished. Really one way traffic it was.

Well it's not over yet, I am still trading Andreev-Mayer and waiting for Robredo-Fognini later tonight.

After yesterday's loss when trading horses I decided to have a look at my P&L for last 7 days . I am still doing some stupid mistakes trading horses and you can see how my PnL looks like. Horses are the only sport I couldn't make profit from. Maybe it's time to think about it.....It's still not a big loss but if I can do about £1500 trading tennis and no profit at all from horses during same time period maybe I should forget it ?
I must admit I want and I like playing with horse racing markets, it's just not giving me profits.

I have no idea what to do with it.....I had such a great run trading horses last week, every day in profit until yesterday when I lost +£300 :(

Will let you know later today if I decided to trade horses today, right now I feel like I am going to just watch n trade tennis only....

Today in Rotterdam we can see players like: Ferrer, Ljubicic, Tsonga, Gulbis, Soderling and Berdych. Not bad at all ! ;) A Murray is scheduled to play tomorrow against Baghdatis, what a match it's going to be !

Super Bowl 2011

Packers beat Steelers 31-25 and are the winners of Super Bowl 2011. Very well done and deserved I guess.....Why I said "I guess" ?

It's, well...I have to admit I fell asleep with 21-3 Packers lead on the scoreboard ;) LOL I missed half time show too....what a shame !

Lucky enough my position on the match odds market was hedged before I fell asleep so no damage there :)

Just before Super Bowl I traded ATP final from Santiago (Chile), Santiago Giraldo-Tommy Robredo. Another one very friendly for traders tennis match ....I hope you understand now that I love tennis matches with scores like yesterday....6-2, 2-6....to be decided in 3rd set tiebreak. This time Tommy beat Santiago in Santiago and won his 10th ATP World Tour title, well done !

Today I look forward to live tennis from Rotterdam and hope to find live coverage for WTA (Paris).

Tennis week 05

Well, it was very interesting week for tennis traders I think. Some very strange outcomes and some very "strange" matches. I could not trade every day but managed to trade some of evenings games. One of them was Fognini-Bellucci in Santiago. And what a match it was ! Very hmm....how to say....."friendly for traders" if you know what I mean. On the left you see my screenshot from this match and now a few words about this game.

1st set...Fognini not motivated (?) at all, not focused, not interested to do anything on the court..or maybe just trying to lose 1st set as quick as possible LOL

Sorry, maybe I am too hard but I couldn't stop thinking this way. So Bellucci wins set 6-1. 2nd set is another story, now is time for Belluci to do the same and 2nd set to Fabio, 6-2. Third set is one way traffic, Fognini 4-0 and now Bellucci decided to play tennis again or should I say Fabio decided to make it more "interesting and profitable" :) LOL Fognini from 4-0 to 4-1 to 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, 4-5, 5-5 and 6-6, tiebreak, 7-0 to Fognini and GSM. From screenshot you see what I mean by "friendly for traders" ;) Both players traded below 1.10 before deciding tiebreak.

During this week Pinnacle removed some of ATP tennis matches after some strange price movements...as I said in my previous post. Here is another one, Giraldo-Chela

Final result was, Giraldo-Chela 6-4, 6-3.............

It is an advice to new tennis traders, beware of backing some tennis players at very low odds just when you think the game is over....it's not that easy ;)

Yeah, I just found 2 more tennis players to remember and maybe put on my list ;)

It's Fritz Wolmarans and Igor Sijsling. They just finished 1st round match in Johannesburg. I was very curious and started to follow this match after I found this....

Watching live stream and following live scoreboard....it was strange, so many times scoreboard was showing different score from what I saw following live stream..hmm...drunk scoreboard operator ? LOL Could it be ? hehe...

Anyway...3rd set and players have no problems at all to hold their serve games....4-4 and Sijsling serving...40-15 I believe it was....now it's time to make money....double fault....another one double fault...40-40 2 more "mistakes" and from 4-4, 40-15 we have now 4-5 and Wolmarans serving to win match...sure...no problems...Sisjing "can NOT" win any more points in this match LOL

It was really easy money...not a big profit for me, it was just for fun....Just to check what's going on....

Betfair's planned site maintenance and upgrade work today is over ? No, don't think so. Betfair's website and API is running but still not as it should be, which means alot of "Bet In Progress" errors, very slow or dead (from time to time) API. It's NOT acceptable and can not be called fair...so no more betting and trading for me today. Day off from now, too bad as I had a chance to trade all of today's races and tennis matches. I have to work tomorrow which means no trading....Hmm, maybe I should go and have a rest as I am still tired after 2 intensive weeks of trading australian tennis markets.
Sorry for no updating my blog but it was really busy days, doing my daily job and trading tennis for so many nights ;)

I am happy with my profit from AO 2011 and looking forward to next big tennis events with US hard court season starting in March (Indian Wells, Miami) I hope for same or better results than last year.....

Another match, Djokovic-Troicki ended with retirement for Troicki after he lost first set 6-2. Not a very big surprise there. Troicki has already withdrawn from doubles due to an injury. Manasieva so far a very big disappointment, lost 1st set 6-1 and now 4-2 to Sevastova. I am done, recovered from a bad move and now all green. Not a big profit but enough at this point...

As you see from my previous post I said 2.4+ on Manasieva was a good value LOL It's why I love trading, still chance to save your money after wrong decision....

I missed almost all of 1st round matches in Melbourne. Was back to trading last 2 nights and must say I missed some of great opportunities. Maybe not really missed, what I mean I decided go all green too early. As many times was said, any green is good and we shouldn't be greedy, right ?

First of games was Petrova-Molik. Petrova started slowly and I started to lay Nadia.....riding the wave ;) Pre-match odds for Nadia around 1.25 - 1.30.....Early break and Molik 2-0...Petrovas price looking nice....hmm....another bet, this time backing Petrova hoping that she can NOT play much worse ;) Expecting Molik to start making some errors...a bit nervous now. So happy when Nadia playing better and making less errors. Finally 1st set to Petrova 6-4. Second set was easy walk for Nadia, final result 6-4, 6-1.

Was it right to hedge or not ? I think yes, I feel much better when looking at green numbers with no liability. So much still can happen to a tennis player, injuries etc...you know what I mean.

Another one, very lucky move for me was Nabandian-Berankis. I was very surprised Nabandian defeated Hewitt in 5th set. Wouldn't be so surprised if it was done in 3 or 4 sets, but 5th set ?!!! I am always unsure about Nalbandians status. This time against Berankis it was a very important factor. No bet before the start. Want to see a few games before I put my money on one of the players. Nalbandian not looking very good ;) It's an understatement. Looks like he just gone of court after match against Hewitt LOL

First set easy and very fast to Berankis, 6-1. My money was on Rickardas when starting 2nd set, Berankis odds still looking very nice 3-0....but I am happy and don't want more liability on Nalby...just watching and ready to react if/when Nalbadian start playing better. Nope, there was not a sign of it, to be honest I expected it will be over before 2nd set....retirement or not ? Not yet, he lost 6-0, talking to a trainer, pills ? no, nothing could save David this night, it was all over. Retirement with 6-1, 6-0, 2-0 to Berankis on the scoreboard.....

It was one of great opportunities which happens sometimes when trading tennis....Good result for me but sad story for Nalbandian after his great match against Hewitt.

I was waiting for Del Potro - Baghdatis but missed it, was too tired after trading for more than 8 hours. Maybe was lucky and it saved me from a loss, expected Del Potro to win ;)

I am not placing bets before the start but right now I feel for Manasieva against Sevastova. First match on court 3, not sure about stream but Manasieva @2.4+ is worth a bet if you ask me

I have no idea what was in Gulbis mind last night when he played Gilles Simon. Gulbis broke Simon's opening service game, he was playing very solid tennis and odds suggested he was favorite to win the match. We have to remember it's tennis and anything can happen. Gulbis was broken to LOVE when serving at 5-4, we got a tiebreak and Simon won 7-1.

Second set was kind of a joke from Gulbis, one of the fastest sets I have been watching for a very long time. Simon dropped 3 points total in 2nd set ! LOL
Gulbis lost 6-0, you see some stats and graph for this match. Simon converted all of his break points in this match, 4/4 is not bad at all even if it's against a player who doesn't look interested to win a match :)

I was happy with trading this time as I decided green up when I got a chance after 15-20 mins played...

By the way, I should also say Gulbis is one of players I am very careful when backing for many reasons. Very talented player but there is something missing at some times if you know what I mean ;)

So my advice is: look at screenshot and go for a hedge when you have a chance with players you don't trust.

Another crazy Monday Night NFL ;)

Last night I watched and traded another NFL game, Baltimore Ravens @Houston Texans.

This time I was happy with my hedged profit at half time (21-7 Ravens lead) and was going to bed.

Ravens scored another touchdown in 3rd Quarter and 28-7 on the scoreboard. Baltimore traded @1.02. Somehow, I could not sleep and keep watching this game...On the scoreboard before last 4th Quarter 28-13. I have no idea what both teams did at half time but it was two different teams from now. Texans offense was on fire and Ravens defence got problems, big problems. Texans made touchdown after an amazing 99-yard (!!!) drive, the longest drive in team history. Another touchdown with 21 seconds to play and 28-26 on the scoreboard which means it wasn't enough with an extra point, Houstons needed 2 points and guess what ! They did it, 2-points conversion was good !!! 28-28 and we got overtime....

NFL and overtime is more gambling than trading, Baltimore wins the game after Matt Schaub's pass was intercepted and returned for 12 yard touchdown. Game is over and some traders very happy, other are very poor and sad I guess....

At some time in 3rd Quarter there was +500000£ to back Baltimore @1.02 and waiting for layers LOL

Davis Cup final was the end of my tennis trading season. Serbia to win wasn't a surprise at all but I must admit I was surprised after all 4 singles finished after 3 played sets. I expected 4 or 5 set games so no big profits there.

It means my trading life must go on without tennis markets. My Betfair bank is now reduced and I am trading NBA. NFL, horses, dogs and...handball LOL

Oh well, handball was just one bet for fun when Sweden played Netherlands @European Championships. I could not resist to put some money on swedish ladies ;)

Just to show you what I did today I decided to post a screenshot....so, last 24 hours I traded 5 sports with some profit total but my horse trading today was a disaster. I made some very stupid decisions when trading horses. Such result makes I don't feel very happy at the end of the day. Greyhounds saved my day today....I am not sure what to do now after such bad day on horse markets, maybe need a rest and try again next week...

I am going to do some trading tonight, Lakers@Chicago Bulls, odds right now 1.8 - 2.2. Maybe Orlando@Utah if I manage to find a stream for this one.

Ok, and now real scores...San Francisco 49ers won the match 27-6 and I loved it all the way from the start !

It started with 47 yard missed field goal for 49ers which made their odds moving up and I couldn't resist and put more money on SF @ price I really liked. So now I am on SF and Cardinals starting drive from own 35 yard line. And what a great start LOL....

Arizona's QB fumbles on very first play ! You gotta love this sport when such things happens and you are lucky enough to be on the right team :)

49ers now driving from Cardinals 38 yard line and this time only one pass is needed for a touchdown, 38 yard pass makes 6-0 and this time 49ers kicker could make an extra point making it 7-0. I did my safety hedge and take a cup of coffe....no more stress from this point in the match. I made it all green and start playing with some of my green trying to increase size of my profit ;)

The Day After.....so what now ?

ATP 2010 tennis season is definitely over. Last Sunday Roger Federer won the ATP World Tour Final against Rafael Nadal.

6-3, 3-6, 6-1 to Federer and now we only have Davis Cup final next weekend to look forward.
Serbia-France in Belgrade with some great players: Djokovic, Tipsarevic, Monfils, Simon. I am sure these games will be very "trading friendly", remember it's 5 set matches in Davis Cup.

So what to do now while waiting for next years tennis season ?

I love Sundays with televised NFL games, Monday Night NFL is also one of my favorites when I have an opportunity to do some trading.(I still have my full time job beside my trading).

Days like today are boring...it's very cold outside, windy and snowing. So today I decided to do some pre-race horse trading. With only one meeting @Wolverhampton I traded 7 races and managed to make some profit.
Horse racing is something I do when there is no other trading objects available....wish I could make nice and steady profits from this, with races every day it gives you so many opportunities !

I am always learning and most of the time, learning by myself. No famous courses, no famous e-books etc...I don't believe in "Very succesful traders selling secrets for £ 9.90/month" LOL ;)

I know some very helpfull guys ready to share their thoughts and ready to help me for free....and I like it. If possible I am ready to help other traders too...You may ask, why am I writing about this now ? Well, it's because I receive some "great" offers from time to time but would like to say...Thanx but No thanx...;)

So, just to show you what I did this Monday I will post a screenshot.....but do NOT expect me posting my P&L's every day....I do it today just because it's THE DAY AFTER......already miss ATP and WTA...:(

Just finished trading Paris Masters semifinal, Soderling-Llodra. It was great match from a traders point of view.

I decided to lay Soderling from the start and hoping for a very tight match with one or more tiebreaks. You don't expect many break points in a match like this with these players, so no surprise first set went to tiebreak, Llodra wins 1st set tiebreak 7-0 (!!! ) :) Robin comes back in a second, still very tight, set. Both players got 2 breakpoints in this set, but only Soderling made it, after 7-5 to Robin it was still very open match and as I said many times I don't like trading 3rd set.....

This time I did some trades as I could not stay away from what I thought was a great opportunity. I post here a screen shot for this match so maybe you could understand what I mean ;)

Now it's time for Federer-Monfils and it should be great tennis show. Monfils is almost always acting like an entertainer. I recommend you watch this one if you have a chance.
I am not sure about trading but for sure i will NOT back Federer at very low odds.
I know Roger is in great form these days....let's hope we can find some value during this match.

Monfils is a very dangerous player for anyone !

I have no idea how many of you guys are using something like this. My screenshot is showing my desktop last night. I traded NFL and watching it live on ESPN HD.

Maybe my post could inspire some of you, maybe not. Anyway, it's about having access to your digital box at home using web interface. This way you could be anywhere in the world and still watch anything available from your satellite receiver at home.....here I am using my Vu+ Duo box.

Vu+ Duo box is just another Linux based satellite receiver like, maybe more known Dreambox. Using it I have access to most of European TV channels available from 1W to 28E.....

Of course you should pay for your subscriptions !

And great news for iPhone owners, you can watch all these TV stations on your iPhone just by login to your box placed at your home........

It's time for Monday Night Football ! :)

Tennessee took a lead 7-0 in 1st Qtr and another 10-0 in 2nd Qtr, makes 17-0 at half time. Titans lost their QB Vince Young (knee injury) but still leading and probably going to win this game. I traded from start to the end of 2nd Qtr and now going to bed as I have to make my duty tomorrow or should I say today ;)

No, it's not about me. It's about Ana Ivanovic, she just won another WTA title after more than 2 years. Let's hope she will be back to her best 2011. This season going to the end with only 2 tournaments to play before WTA Championships in Doha.

So if you want to try betting on tennis you should hurry up :) I am still trading tennis but not as much as I did in the first half of the year for some different reasons. End of season means some tired, not motivated, injured/half injured etc.....players. Trading should be done very carefully.

Look at results from Japan this week. How many of you would pick Tamarine Tanasugarn (33! year old) as finalist and winner of WTA title in Osaka ? ;) Yeah, that's right, she beat japanese player Kimiko Date Krumm (40 !!! year old) in final. You should still know there were other top 10 players in Osaka tournament. Kimiko beat both Shahar Peer and Sam Stosur on her way to the final.

As Kimiko said after she beat Sam Stosur:

"Everyone thought it was impossible, but impossible is nothing. Tennis isn't only speed and power - you play mentally."

These wise words should be something to remember when you put your money on a tennis player.

Next week ATP moves to my hometown, Stockholm. I hope to do some trading and to see some live tennis. Just hoping Roger Federer is still fit and motivated enough to show some great tennis after his final today in Shanghai.

It's next week, today I am waiting for NFL to start later this evening. I am going to trade 2-3 live games.

Another lesson to learn...

Janko Tipsarevic against Sam Querrey in semifinal last night. Another crazy tennis market. It started for Tipsarevic like on the first image. Both players holding their serve games in 1st set. Tiebreak goes to Tipsarevic and trading so far was quite easy and predictable. I could build my green on both players almost without taking any risks using small stakes.
Second set was same story, players holding serves without any big problems, only 1 break point in this set for Janko and no bp's for Sam. I am green on both when 2nd set tiebreak starts so I could enjoy watching tennis without stress.

Tipsy playing very good and when Querrey's serve not working anymore it looks like Janko is going to take this tiebreak easy when leading 5-1. It wasn't easy !!! Sam Q was back in match and wins tiebreak 7-5, could you believe it ? From 5-1 to 5-7 in tiebreak.....remember this one and expect the unexpected. I believe Tipsy was traded at 1.02 before losing 2nd set.

What am I doing now ?
Yeah, sure....I am going to break my own rule !!! :( So many times I said what i think about trading final set and still doing same mistake from time to time.

I decided, let's go for another trade, last one when Querrey starting to serve in 3rd set...Backing Sam...0-15, 0-30, 0-40...broken !!! And from very nice green on both I am now looking at RED numbers, what a stupid mistake....

It's almost same story from night before...Querrey broken for the first time in match, Tipsy serving and holding hmm....2-0 Janko....Sam holds next and we got 2-1 when Tipsarevic is serving again....I am still red on both....0-15, 0-30...hmm....lets try backing Querrey....0-40...wow !! great !!!....I am green on Sam, hedge now ? or not ? .....not....come on !!....15-40......30-40....40-40....Tipsarevic holds !!! One more time I am not happy with myself !!! I got my chance to change red to green but...ehh....

I got strange feeling there will be more break points for Sam before it's over...so I am laying Janko at very low odds when Q serving at 1-3...holds to 2-3, next game was my next chance and this time Janko was broken !!!! I am back in match but still would like if Sam could hold his serve....0-15, 0-30, wtf ???!!! ....
I decided to go for a hedge at this moment .......no more bets please...0-40.....what is going on here in this crazy tennis match ?....suddenly Querrey start serving and playing tennis again, he is back to deuce, holds and leading 4-3 in final set...Janko holds to 4-4 and got 4 break points next time Sam was serving. It was very strong game from Querrey, 15-40 and 4 break points saved at 4-4 in final set.

I guess Janko was frustrated and not happy with himself when going to serve @4-5...Sam Q missed match point at 30-40 but another double fault and 2nd match point to Querrey, this time it was GSM...you may guess what happened to Jankos racquet.....LOL...below is picture Tipsy posted after the match ;)

What a crazy night trading tennis....

On the image you see Ernests Gulbis of Latvia. For some reasons he is not one of my favorite players to trade but anyway, I was involved in his match last night. He played Alejandro Falla.

Let's start from the beginning, I had an "OK profit" so far for the day and my plan was to trade Gulbis before I go to sleep. So far so good....Ohh...by the way...believe it or not, I had an unbelievable run of tennis markets without "red" this week. Counting from Monday I traded 56 markets without any losses. I believe it must be my best run so far. Some markets with profits like £2-5 and some bigger profits but anyway, green is green and we all love to keep "red" away.....

Back to Gulbis, started very good for me laying him and could hedge for a nice profit before 1st set was over. No problem what so ever but.....something stupid happened, maybe I was tired, maybe too much confidence, I backed Gulbis one more time in 2nd set....and you may guess what happened....yeah, for sure !!! Gulbis lost 2nd set and I had to try recover from this stupid mistake. I found I was not reacting to market fast enough and today I could say there was too much of gambling from my side. I hate trading tiebreaks, I dont like trading during final set but in this market everything happened....I traded tiebreak in 3rd and final set !!! How stupid it was....I was trying to minimize my loss, Gulbis lost his match = I lost £110....and believe me, right after GSM I was happy with £110 loss :)

I still had profit for the day and should go to bed, forget about Gulbis and let it be...but....what is comming next ? It's Becker-Blake and I could not resist, let's go and do some trading !!! This could be funny I think......yeah, it was at the end but started with a disaster. Blake was broken in first set and Becker serving for the set at 5-4...I am green on Becker with no chance to hedge for all green so let's go.....Becker serving 0-15......0-30....0-40.....broken !!!...Hmm.....what to do ?....It's 5-5 with Blake to serve....ffs...I am going all red !!! Blake holds easy.....Becker serving at 5-6........0-15.......0-30.......0-40........broken !!! Set to Blake....7-5

You know what ? Am I the only one with feeling that some of tennis matches smells ? What to do now ? Going BIG red on Becker....trying to change my all red to green on Blake....No breaks of serve in 2nd set, after some trades, laying Blake at low odds and backing higher I was green on Blake but still could not hedge for all green. My chance was tiebreak and finally I could go all green before GSM, had Gulbis still in my head I could not wait for 3rd set....Anyway Blake takes the tiebreak and GSM !! Thanx...uff...what a crazy night ! I still have alot to learn LOL

It was 4th of July Janko married girlfriend Biljana Sesevic in Belgrade, later this month it was Stepanek and Vaidisova.

Janko Tipsarevic is a really funny guy and great tennis player when he is playing his best tennis. Last night he played Somdev Devvarman and as almost always with Tipsy on court you had many great trading opportunities. It could be easy if you lucky enough to start with right bet. I was confident from the start laying Janko and was looking at very nice "green numbers", I should hedge and be happy but NO...a few minutes later everything changes, more bets from me...backing, laying, backing, lay-back and so on...LOL

It's why I love tennis, you DO NOT have to be on the right side from the start or after 1st set....the game is not over before it's GSM, you know what I am trying to say...Final score and stats from this match on the image above.

Yes, Janko had it totally under control :)

After Tipsy it was Marcos Baghdatis-Ryan Sweeting....and I must say I was really sweating watching this match. Marcos was playing awful tennis in 1st set and...to be honest I wasn't impressed at all with the quality of this match. Anyway it's not about it, it's about trying to make some money and 3 set match with total 8 breaks of serve gives you some opportunities to trade out of bad possitions. I was done after set nr 2 and it was end of my trading yesterday.

Now I found Marcos and Janko will play in next round...what a game if both are in good mood ;)

Let's hope no more raining in Europe and we can see some more live tennis today, starting with Larsson-Cirstea

Keep it green and remember...no panic ! It's not over before GSM :)

I am currently trading Dushevina-Sevastova, or should I say was trading :) Players are now in 3rd set and I feel happy with my green at the moment. As I said some times before, I really don't like trading final set if/when I am all green with a nice profit on both players. No need to be greed as we say....I know there could be more great opportunities in the final set of a tennis match, but we need time to have rest and this is the right moment I feel.

Ferrero-Cuevas looks really nice too, 6-4, 3-3 to Cuevas at the moment. I love when market goes crazy like in Cuevas game when he was broken in the second set and we got Ferrero back as favorite...just to see a break back and now Cuevas trading @1.5...:)

She is one of my favorite female players on the tour, no question about it. Her name is Kimiko Date Krumm. This woman is almost 40 year old, retired from WTA tour in 1996 (!!!) and made comeback after 12 years. She became my favorite @Roland Garros this year after she won against Dinara Safina in 3 set, she struggled with a calf injury at that time, most people expected retirement during 3rd set but NO NO....great fighters from Japan never retires ;) And Safina was a loser one more time. Almost same story last Monday, Safina takes 1st set but Kimiko is back to win in three set again :)

Well, I know it's old news but anyway, I just want to let you know about this woman. By the way...during her retirement from tennis she ran London Marathon :)

Kimiko Date will play Dementieva today and Elena is at the moment @1.19. Dementieva should be a big favorite to win match but don't forget it will be Elena's first match after her retirement from French Open.

I traded 18 tennis markets yesterday but one of most strange markets was Sweeting-Vliegen, what a crazy (?) match it was. I was lucky enough to be on the right side after GSM.....

As you can see I am not posting my P&L now and it will be this way, I think. I feel like there is no need anymore to show what could be done. I reduced my Betfair bank to £500 and enjoyed my holidays. Now trying to build up my bank before US Open to be able trade using bigger stakes when it's time for big games again ;)

It's about 1st round match between John Isner-Nicolas Mahut. I feel I just have to make a post about this match :) I have been trading for some hours today and focusing on this match. Guess what, players are now playing 5th set and it's 41-41 !! YES, it's right ! 41-41....Longest ever tennis match ? Longest ever set ? World record in number of aces ? Yeah, that's right. Isner at the moment has fired 83 aces and Mahut 69. What I mean in title is that you couldn't fail if you use back the server strategy LOL...I guess there are no losers trading 5th set of this match LOL...

Hedging is not always easy...

This post is just to show you pushing the hedge button is not always the best way to do it ;) As you can see from image I have £87.50 green on Chakvetadze and £82.90 green on South. I placed bets on both players and The Toy is now indicating £79.95 green when pushing hedge button(marked with red color on my image). If you are not careful with what you are doing you may decrease your profit by doing this way. It's not a bug, it's not a very big problem, it's just how The Toy calculates hedge value when you have open bets on both players and with some big gaps in odds such things can happen....I hope you understand what I am trying to tell you LOL....

What a great performance from Sam Stosur ! Such an easy win against JJ. I had Sam as my favorite before the match but couldn't expect 6-1,6-2. It was Stosur from the start to the end, Jankovic had 2-0 lead in 2nd set but lost 6 games in a row and the match was over after 60 mins of play ;)

GSM Sam and my tennis trading is over for this time. Grass season starting next week. It's really shame, I have to work, no opportunities for any trading this weekend :( With players going from clay to grass it's not easy for us traders and players may also need some time before they are comfortable with changed surface. Anyway I look forward for Queens, Halle, Eastbourne....Wimbledon and whatever comes next weeks.

I hope Sam will be a new Grand Slam Champ and Nadal-Soderling in final on Sunday...

Francesca Schiavone will play BIG Grand Slam final @Roland Garros after strange semifinal against Elena Dementieva. It was very close 1st set, Schiavone won the tiebreak. I had huge green on Schiavone, hedged for all green right after tiebreak and suddenly market was suspended. Betfair was very fast on suspend button this time, I believe lowest matched price was around 1.4 before suspending, where were all courtsiders this time ? LOL What a surprise ! I knew Elena had some problems with an injury but today could not see any signs of this during the 1st set. No medical time-outs, no treatment at all...I guess Francesca was surprised too when Elena retired. It was just seconds after I did my hedge....Ohhh well...profit is a profit, win is a win and as I said many times, we shouldn't be greedy. Next time I could be on the other side with red, it just shows how dangerous tennis trading could be...

Now over to second semifinal, JJ-Sam ......if u ask me I would say, Stosur to win, but with JJ serving well this will be a close match.

I may be crazy trading like this. What do YOU think ?

Is it better to focus on one at a time and try to make bigger profits or are you doing like me, trading 3-5 matches at the same time and going for smaller profits ? I am aware that doing like this I may miss some opportunities. I found that my first and only trading movie is about trading Tsonga- De Bakker match one month ago and same players are playing right now, 5-5 1st set....;)

Friday tennis @Roland Garros

It was very busy week so far. With busy I do NOT mean trading sports, unfortunately I was busy doing my real full time job. I was sent away from my home city and couldn't trade tennis the way I wanted :( Anyway, I am back at home now and let's hope we can make some extra money this weekend :) I decreased my BF bank size and trading now with max liability around £200....

As it looks now I will be trading Friday-Sunday and only We-Th next week which means I am going to miss semifinals and finals next weekend. Nothing to do about it I guess...maybe I should consider making tennis trading my full time job ;) ....Well...not really yet, just joking. I like my job but it sucks sometimes when I have to work while great tennis matches are played on courts around the world LOL

After 2 great weeks, trading tennis almost every day and some very nice profits it's time to have a break. I think it's time to enjoy life for some days now and be back soon with French Open at Roland Garros. I still check tennis results every day and you have to agree some results are very surprising.

I tried trading horses last Monday but found it wasn't funny enough and I gave up after a few races. I couldn't read horse racing markets and ended with £35 loss :) So no more trading for me until Roland Garros.

Roger Federer made trading his match very easy in 1st set. He just won 7-5 and now playing 2nd set. Amazing but Ferrer won only 2 return points in 1st set while Federer won 17/43. Stats you can see on the image. I feel like job is done for today and it was another great day for me.

Wish you good luck while trading this match, I am not going to take any risks but may play with some of my green if I see value at some point before GSM :)

Rezai one more time....

Aravane Rezai just won 1st set against Lucie Safarova, 6-1 after 24 minutes of play. Eurosport was late with coverage, it was 4-1 when I saw first live pics from this match. Was trading using scoreboard and live stream. Scoreboard was faster than live stream this time. Couldn't see any signs of an injury, just Rezai outplayed Safarova from what I saw. I was on Rezai and tried to hedge @1.13 after 1st set finished. ...waiting ...waiting.... commercial adverts on Eurosport .....waiting ...and suddenly money was taken in no time from 1.14----->1.09-----1.05----->1.01...What a paradise for courtsiders it was. You know what happened. Safarova retired after 1st set. Nice of her to complete 1st set and make all bets valid :) My profit could be much higher but as I said many times, no need to be greedy. How could I know ? It was like somebody took money from kids....and this time I was a kid ;)

Trading tennis can be so easy or very dangerous. This time I was on the right side :)

What a great start for Almagro against Nadal, 5 games played and 4-1 to Almagro ! I feel sorry for Nadal backers, he may still be back but backing low odds like 1.07 and 1-4 on the scoreboard could make you very nervous. My move was lay Nadal and hope for a tight match but couldn't imagine it would be so easy for Almagro from the start. No need to be greedy. I made my hedge and enjoy watching tennis with no trading at the moment.

Rezai & Gulbis ...

Rezai and Gulbis make this late trading session very interesting. Both players won 1st set and Gulbis just lost 2nd set to Federer 6-1. Nice swings in both matches as shown on screen shots. My screen is looking nice at the moment and I am having a break from trading until next match, Ferrer-Murray later on which will be the last one for today. Should be great match for your eyes and good for traders.

Venus Williams has 3-0 head-to-head against Sam Stosur and she just won 1st set 6-3 after 2 nice swings which made it possible for me to make nice profit. Could it be Venus 4th win against Sam ? Yeah...I think so if she can serve like in 1st set.

What to do now ? Well....With green on both players like this you see on my screen shot there is no need to take any more chances, I may play with some of my green. I don't think it will be easy 2nd set win for Venus but anything can happen as you saw in match earlier 6-1, 1-6......LOL

Anyway, I will follow Almagro-Melzer and Venus match at the same time....too bad I already missed one break of serve in Almagro match...

My day couldn't start better with Safarova 6-1 and now 0-3 in 2nd set :)

I would like to say....

I love when a plan comes together....

It looks easy now for Petrova in 2nd set....and I may have a cup of coffee and breakfast during 3rd set.
Just to remind you about next match, Stosur-Williams Venus should be great match for trading too....do NOT miss it !

Need more sleep !

After last night's trading I got 5 hours sleep and feel it wasn't enough but tennis starting in about 5 minutes with Petrova-Safarova.

In game 6 of NBA play offs Celtics eliminated Cavaliers. No more NBA for a few days which means more sleep for me LOL.

OK, back to tennis, Safarova just got an early break of serve but struggling now on own serve with break balls for Petrova....let's hope she holds as I layed Petrova.

What a great fighter she is, Aravane Rezai on the image. She just won in 2 sets (6-4, 7-6) against Andrea Petkovic. Very tight in both sets and I post screenshot with highlighted area just to show you how dangerous it is to back at very low odds. Rezai was matched at 1.01 in tiebreak, I believe it was 6-1 but you see from the graph what happened. Petkovic was back in the match, won 7 points and had a setball at 8-7 but lost 3 points in a row and final result in tiebreak 10-8 Rezai.

Still some matches to play in Madrid and I look forward to Ferrer-Cilic and Gulbis-Lopez. I believe Ferrer's match should be very nice trading object ;)

It's not about me in great form, it's Sam Stosur still in very good form and playing solid tennis. Very low odds from start made it possible to lay Sam and look for opportunity to get some ticks and as you can see from the graph there was some opportunities during 1st set :) I think it will be end of trading this match if it goes like I think, easy win for Sam in 2nd set ? Well, it's WTA so you never know LOL

This match is still not over but it's getting late and my result trading 2 sets is very nice so I am going to leave it as it looks on screenshot. I still don't like trading 3rd sets and I feel there is no need to take any chances. Dulgheru leads in final set with one break of serve.

Today we had Tsonga retirement just after finished 1st set and lost to Garcia-Lopez. You remember what I said in my posts before ? ;) Very risky if you back some big favorites these days :)
